Quaint, unmarked Flush Fret banjo from the last half of the 19th century.. Features an 11" stained oak rim assembly (single shiplap construction), with robust original brass hardware, ebony tailpiece. The one piece mahogany neck has inlaid frush frets set at a 22" scale length, square peghead, 1-7/16" wide wooden nut, elegantly carved fifth peg cut on back. The neck does have some forward relief, but high action is mostly result of steep original neck angle (a prime candidate for a dowel stick angle reset); normal surface scratches and play wear present
