A unique unmarked Banjo-Mandolin, setup with a simple and easy to play single course that would be well suited for an Irish/Celtic group. The rim is made of maple, with some nice Birdseye present, with a very thick tortoise shell binding and mahogany cap. Internally it has a an angled Archtop tonering with decorative f-holes - again with the tortoise inlay on its interior (always a nice touch). The rim measures 11 1/4" across, outfitted with an old 5 star head. The hardware all matches and looks very Epiphone in appearance.
The neck is made of a highly flamed maple, with a rosewood center strip, and multi ply wood binding. The ebony fingerboard featuring nice decorative MOP inlay, the peg head with an iconic wreath. The neck has an easy playability with the single course as it is setup currently, the action measuring 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck has a hair of forward relief but plays well, the frets showing some wear, but non-problematically so. It has a 15.5" scale length, and a 1 7/32" nut width.
Includes home-brewed heavy duty hardshell case.
