From the early 20th century, a nice playing Washburn Style 445 (as stamped on the heel cap), featuring its original hard shell case. The 10-3/4 diameter mahogany rim assembly is 5/8" thick, is outfitted with its original doughnut style Washburn tonering, with an unassuming, marquetry bound screw-on resonator; setup with chrome Elton tailpiece; grooved tension hoop, and old skin head. The three piece mahogany neck has a 21" scale ebony fingerboard, with fancy pearl inlay on fretboard and peghead overlay, with 1-3/8" wide at nut; equipped with Champion friction pegs (one black button). The thin original frets have moderate pitting, with some mild forward relief, and some wear/shrinkage to the binding.
