One of the most popular instruments from the Tacoma lineup, the Thunderchief is a fantastic acoustic bass guitar with robust tone and great sustain. The unique winged sound hole system developed by Tacoma allows the top to vibrate more, and placing the hole closer to the players ear makes it an inspiring experience. It features a factory Fishman Prefix pickup, complete with three band EQ, phase adjustment and Volume. Constructed with a 34" scale, it is a bit hefty, but doesn't take much for most bass players to feel comfortable. The jumbo sized body measures 17.75" across, with a depth of 4.75" at the base and 3.75" at the heel. It has a standard 1 5/8" nut width. The convenient bolt on design makes future neck adjustments much easier.
This example comes to us in great condition with only light play wear from its previous owner, a clear pickguard added over some of the wear (see photos). The neck is nice and straight and plays with comfortable action that measures 8/64" in height at the twelfth fret, currently setup with tape wounds.
