An interesting Slingerland made Maybell, 17 fret tenor; the rim assembly measures 11", is of birdseye and flamed maple, and features a reverse doughnut style tonering, not dissimilar to a Washburn Style C...good warm tone; outer side wall has a thick marquetry strip; original Elton tailpiece and armrest; herringbone trimmed birdseye maple resonator with circular flange cutouts. The three piece maple neck has a 21" scale length pearwood fingerboard with pearl inlay; some pitting present on frets, light forward relief, with missing piece of binding, wear on back of neck, with later geared tuners.
