Samick has built *so* many of the worlds instruments, ironically, such that some of their very own branded products aren't on most players wave lengths. Enter the SM 50S... in a world where there aren't too many budget F style mandolins - this one is quite the looker for the price point. Laminate construction, it has a nice looking spruce top with a classic burst look - fully bound - with maple back and sides. The rosewood fingerboard hosts some classic Gibson-esque inlay, the headstock with some nice pearloid and gold aesthetic.
This particular example is a really good entry point for any beginner mandolin player, or someone who wants to have one "just in case". Easy to play low action and a straight neck, it will get the job done. Sonically, it has a bit thinner and quieter of a tone due to its laminate construction. Cosmetically and structurally, this is in good condition, but clearly used, with nicks and dings present primarily at its corners.
Includes basic gig bag.
