Well-built hammer dulcimer by an esteemed maker, signed by Sam Rizzetta and Bob Clayton, with serial #54, date 1973 and was made in Arlington, VA. For decades, Rizzetta was a force in the dulcimer world, pioneering designs and improvements, before passing away in 2021. This early example features 12 triple course bass strings, and 8x doubled trebles, with red stained sides, and plywood top and back.
