Very clean S. S. Stewart Special Thoroughbred model featuring a spun-over 10.5" rim assembly from the late 19th century. All metal hardware on rim original equipped with original Common Sense tail piece missing carved rosette; dowel stick bears Stewart stamps and serial number (matches rim); Stewart plaque present on side of dowel, Special Thoroughbred plaque on interior of rim with faded horse sticker inside too; some plating worn near armrest area. Only minimal relief present in the 26-1/2" scale cherry neck; ebony fretboard w/ diamond inlay pattern, nice unusual Lily heel carving on heel, with thin original frets, ebony nut, fancy pearl and wire inlay on peghead, equipped with original Champion friction pegs; only some light dings and scratches on neck. Comes with chipboard hard case.
