A rarely seen Banza built by renowned maker Scott Didlake, who passed away in 1994. "When it comes to hand-crafted gourd banjos, Scott Didlake was perhaps the Orville Gibson or the David Day of that instrument. A ceaseless experimenter, researcher, and innovator, he brought modern techniques and materials to the oldest of banjo designs." (Bob Carlin, "Old Time Herald", Spring 1997). This "Cremona" quality gourd, features tack-head construction, triangular rosewood bridge, with decorative cutouts on either side; dowel stick is signed and dated by maker. The three string bent pine neck has a rosewood fingerboard, angular peghead shape, and is equipped with friction tuners.
