*Used* The tenor guitar has made its way from Swing & Rag Time music, through Celtic and Irish circles, and even on the Rock music stage. A nice voice, seen tuned in fifths making it convenient for many mandolin players - as well as "Chicago" tuning like the treble strings on a guitar. The resonator guitar, seen often in Blues & Folk music - offers up a ton of volume, with a brash voice with plenty of harmonics. Republic, purveyors of classic guitar sounds, specializing in the Resophonic instruments did a bang up job with their Highway 49 line. Used, this example comes to us in like new condition from the original owner who had to move along from it. Small body with a cutaway, it is constructed with Bell Brass with their chromed nickel finish - with a bit of wear on the palm rest over the biscuit. The tone is powerful, offering up a truly impressive amount of bottom end - making it a good support instrument for accompanying, but certainly with enough cut for any soloist. The neck is designed with a 22.5" scale length, made of mahogany with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay. The fingerboard is nice and comfortable with a 1 3/8" nut width - solid for strumming and finger style playing. The action is nice and easy, measuring a low 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret - currently setup in fifths. Cosmetically and structurally, this used example which dates to 2009 is in great condition with hardly a mark on it less some superficial mild wear. Includes original hardshell case.
