This lovely parlor guitar comes from the Regal Factory of Chicago. The guitar is a product of its time being made in the late 1920s. Some Regal parlor guitars featured lovely paintings of scenery on the top such as a beach, palm trees and other landscapes. This one is the first we have ever seen with an Asian scenery on the top with a tower and trees surrounding the bridge of the instrument. The faux pearl fingerboard has no cracks or chips in it. The lower bout measures in at 13", the upper bout 6" and a total length of 18". The depth of the body is 3 3/4". The bridge is currently lifting, the top sinking slightly at the soundhole, and there is some fall off at the fingerboard extension. For one to make this playable by modern playing standard it would require a bit of elbow grease, but structurally appears sound without cracks or separation.
