RC Kelly Led Zeppelin LP Style Electric (Art)

Crafted using old NYC wood construction. Plied 3 piece found wood construction. It’s body design is based off the iconic GIbson Les Paul electric guitar design, unmarked at the headstock, except at the truss rod cover. This hand cut electric has a slightly skewed shape with more of a Florentine style pointed cutaway, and a rounded body design. The face of the body is stained and burned with Led Zeppelins personnel, their occult logos, 60’s iconography and their name between the pickups. This body is actually bound in faux tortoise shell along its top, which is subtle but a nice aesthetic touch - constructed by Rick Kelly and likely decorated by Cindy Hulej. It’s neck is straight and in good condition with what appears to be an ebony fingerboard. The neck profile itself is almost comically large in profile, which is a sometimes preferred type of neck shape found on guitars around the 40’s, but not typically seen today, the necks construction is a bit hard to say as the wood has been heavily painted over. It has dual hum bucking pickups with traditional LP style wiring two volume & two tone control and its pickup selector. Kluson vintage style tuners and nice modern Wilkinson wrap around tailpiece bridge. This could have slightly better playability would require a general setup (likely around $100 worth of general maintenance). The members of Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page, John Bonham, Jon Paul Jones, and Robert Plant) are beautifully depicted on the face of this instrument. A very nice for any Led Zeppelin fan, electric guitar collector, or purveyor of Old New York.
