A fine classical instrument made in Milan by A. Monzino & Figli (label proudly intact) in 1907; lots of volume and warmth. The ribs are made from rosewood, and the skirt edge/top binding are likely of cypress; spruce top w/ inlaid tortoise pickguard (a few small chips near treble side), rosette has pearl inlay; red interior; later tailpiece. The 14" scale rosewood neck has a rosewood fingerboard (later frets), grafted peghead w/ rosewood overlay/backstrap; equipped with original tuners (buttons made from period materials). In excellent cosmetic condition (minimal scratching and dings). Top edge of binding has shrunk near heel. included in sale is original hard case; exterior fabric has separated from case
