An American stand-by - the Peavey brand has been going through a fairly big resurgence as of late - with many indie and rock artists appreciating the USA made budget instruments and amplifiers have been functional for quite some time now. Nostalgia or not, these tools have been just that for the working class musician, and have now become a bit nostalgic for many.
The Dyna Bass as seen here, is one such players instrument that is set to impress. Forever classic black finish could look great in a myriad of different settings. This one had its preamp removed, but the excellent sounding Bartolini produced Super Ferrite pickups remain. What was once two volumes with a three band EQ has been changed over to two independent volume controls with a master tone control (a bit subtle overall). One could call it a "Sklar" switch is present - totally disconnected from the circuit. The output jack has been moved to its front by the previous owner, but one could install it back to its side profile if desired. High grade, high mass bridge has stayed flat, the saddles still strong providing good intonation. Cosmetically, this example has its bit of wear, primarily some scratches and dings on its back side.
The neck is nice and straight on this example, and featuring a bolt on neck design complete with micro tilt adjustment at the neck plate - one can really dial in the setup. The action is currently very low, measuring 2mm in height at the twelfth fret. The particular example has the 44mm nut width.
Included in the sale is a simple gig bag. A great deal for anyone looking for a budget 5 string bass.
