The original Tricone was produced in 1927 with the intentions of a balanced and huge amplified sound by way of its three cones. Highly regarded today nearly 100 years later, they have an iconic sound, excellent durability and are symbolic of an era. Original Tricone round necks are often associated with being *the* quintessential Resophonic instrument.
This German Silver Squareneck comes to us in good condition from the previous owner in untampered with condition less expected play wear from its near 100 years of age. #1675 is stamped in the neck towards the volute and accurately dates to '29 according to Bob Brozman's book. The body is in good shape cosmetically and structurally. The neck and frets are healthy, with the original ebony, and MOP inlay all in tact - a small hole added for a past strap button at the volute. Slot headstock, this retains all but one original tuner - all functioning. Sonically this is a powerful instrument - suitable for any player or collector of fine instruments.
Includes original hardshell case, missing handle, in good condition.
