Built to Tommy's specifications, this is a high grade instrument meant for a virtuoso. The artist series 808 body style is similar to an OM, constructed with a 14 7/16" lower bout, with a depth of 5" at the base and 4" at the heel - making it a comfortable instrument for players of most statures. It has a AAA select solid spruce top, and a Queensland maple back & sides. It projects detail nicely with healthy bass response and volume - suitable for finger style or strumming alike. It features a two way blendable pickup system, with a gooseneck microphone and undersaddle piezo internally - all adjustable by the AP-5 Pro preamp - allowing the user to fine tune their live sound.
The neck is made with a Queensland Maple profile and streaky ebony fingerboard. Jescar fretwire is resilient and comfortable - the neck constructed with a standard 25.5" scale length, the nut width just a hair under 1.75". Grover tuners and a kangaroo inlay - you can't go wrong!
This guitar comes to us used, but in great condition from the original owner - who had the top signed by Mr. Emmanuel himself just over the fingerboard extension.
