Originally built in collaboration with Martins Canadian distributor, Kief Music, here we have an example from the exciting small run from Martin. With a look of the Canadian flag, this guitar celebrates our neighbors of the north, and was originally presented at the 2014 NAMM show. The "SSC" Show Special designation, is on the interior label, complete with Canadian Maple Leaf, and further adorned with a Canadian nickel in its peg head overlay and a cool coloring scheme on its back. Numbered 45 of only 47 produced, it is an iconic D35 design, with fantastic & balanced tone.

The D35 is a well famed dreadnaught guitar that has been used on countless recordings. During their original production, wood quantities would be scarce - which forced the company to implement a three piece back design that has gone on to become many players favorites. While retaining a nice Canadian Spruce top, this guitar uniquely has a three piece back design with a maple center amongst dyed cherry on its wings - giving a bit of the impression of the Canadian flag - a thoughtful and nice touch. Ivoroid binding on its top and back, this guitar cosmetically is in fantastic condition having been well cared for by its previous owner. Forward X, scalloped bracing, it has a resonant tone with a lot of power. The previous owner had a LR Baggs Lyric microphone installed - a great option for clarity and authentic reproduction of the sound acoustically.

The neck is designed with a standard 25.5" scale length and 1.75" nut width. Fully bound ebony fingerboard, it has an iconic snowflake Martin inlay pattern in MOP. Open gear grover tuners present. The neck plays and feels great with virtually no wear and easy action that measures about 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret with an untouched saddle.

Includes original hardshell case.
