A Martin for the modern player! Designed with comfort and tone at the forefront, the SC-13E model features Martins new Sure Align bolt on neck system. The concept is not too unfamiliar, and features a comfortable low profile that is very similar to an electric guitar. Mixed with the upper register access via its cutaway, and the ability to change the neck angle easily - this is a very accommodating flat top for any player versed in electric playing. The uncharted territory of the fingerboard extension plays easily, which alone is a charming feature. "Tone Tension" scalloped X bracing on the top and back, yield a very wide and balanced tone - suitable for strumming, finger style and melody playing. The guitar has a unique voice that is forward with the lower midrange bark like a vintage style guitar - with pronounced trebles with great sustain overall. The Fishman MX-T is a great pickup option for this instrument, providing clarity and honest acoustic tones through its output - with simple controls for Volume and Tone (which acts a bit like a mid scoop/presense control). Standard 25.4" scale length and 1.75" nut width, this guitar sits comfortably. This guitar comes to us in like new condition having been used sparingly by the original owner. Very clean cosmetically, it also plays with a nice straight neck with low action. Includes the original gig bag.
