Developed by guitarist, instrument innovator and, plastic-proponent Mario Maccaferri and endorsed by performer Arthur Godfrey, over 9 million of these handy ukes were sold from 1949-1969, made using Dow Chemical's new Stryon plastic. This baritone example has a single cutaway, and fully integrated fingerboard, bridge, with branded friction tuners and cool plastic rosette. There is notable relief in the neck, but the instrument is a decent lower position player, with medium action in the upper registers. Includes original box! Some fret wear present and some scuffs/scrapes.
