A small example from Lyon and Healy's Mystic line of intermediate range banjos, setup and playing extremely well. The eight inch diameter spun-over rim assembly is gleaming, with shiny plating, a rolled tonering, engraved plaque on dowel stick, and heel/dowel attachment; equipped with a lovely 1897 patent Durkee/Post tailpiece with light floral engraving. The 17" scale mahogany neck has a ebony veneer fingerboard, diamonds/clovers/dot pearl fretmarkers, with star inlaid into peghead overlay; neck has light backbow but plays well with nylon setup; moderate fret wear present. Equipped with Grover spring loaded friction tuners, friction fifth (later) with small dowel plug inside hole.
