With custom appointments, this is a lovely Balladeer model, from Wildwood who produced banjos from 1973-2018, for sale from the original owner. The 11" rim assembly is of stained maple utilizing block construction, with a Tubaphone tonering, with burled maple rim cap, with binding and thick bands of decorative marquetry on interior and exterior back edges of pot; custom ordered with an old style bracket band with integrated heel/shim; equipped with Vega style armrest and hardware, Waverly tailpiece, notched tension hoop, single coordinator rod. The three piece 26-1/4" scale neck is of high grade fiddle back flamed maple, is fully bound, with an ebony fingerboard; gorgeous long floral vine inlaid in pearl down the entire fingerboard, with flourish and Wildwood inlaid into peghead overlay as well; equipped with Planetary style geared tuners and includes original hard case. Minimal wear present, with only some light surface scratches/dings, with some tarnish on metal parts.
