Higher grade model with fancy, snail shell inlay on fretboard and Greek key marquetry inside the 11" spun over rim; an interesting example that bears both Gatcomb and Haynes stamps on the dowel. The mahogany neck has 25 inch scale with ebony board and long back strapping, 1-1/4" wide nut, ornate pearl inlay present; surface repairs present on peghead overlay on front and back (added finish), with some ding and scuffs present throughout. Equipped with original hardware including engraved tension hoop, patented neck angle adjuster. Frets appear to be later; plays well with low/medium action a nylon setup, with light relief in neck.
