Since 1994, Lakland has made some of the finest bass guitars on the market - taking Fender designs head on with some player improvements all the while harnessing what we know and love about vintage Fenders. With a resume of working with some of the worlds biggest hit makers, it makes sense that Lakland would endorse Bob Glaub early on - and produce their Precision inspired model with him in mind. Now known as the "44-64" based on Glaubs original '64 example with a 44mm nut width. This early 2006 example is actually a Bob Glaub signature - pen signed and dated "BG295" written under the neck heel.

Inspired by an early 60's Precision - this has the charming looks with the black finish and 3 ply tortoise pickguard. Laklands high mass bridge design adds sustain and balance - and this can cleverly be strung thru body or top loaded, for player preference. Original pickup and electronics function as they should, providing great low end thumb and Precision style definition and balance over the split coil. Cosmetically, this is in great shape with some very light surface level scratches and only one nick present on the back.

Standard spec scale length, this has a 34" scale length, with a 44mm nut width (1.75") and .75" string spacing at the bridge. The neck has a slab rosewood fingerboard with nice clay dot inspired wooden inlay. The neck has a slim taper - measuring about .75" in depth at the first position and tapering to about .9" at the twelfth. The neck is straight, the truss rod is functional, the frets are clean. This maple neck is finished with a nice satin which feels nicely played in, but with no dings or nicks present. Factory Hipshot tuners present with drop tuner on the 4th string. Model BG295 stamped on the tuner side of the peg head. Nice low action, this is one of the best bass guitars we've had in the shop!
