American made, the Harmony branded instruments have seen an uptick amongst players and collectors. True retro aestheticism mixed with unique construction appointments make these instruments unique and intriguing amongst the growing crowd of performers looking for "budget friendly" vintage. The H1265 is a Deluxe model in the Sovereign lineup - complete with solid wood construction, a massive moustache-esque pinned bridge, and dual asymmetrical tortoise shell pickguards (and peg head overlay). The sound is booming on this example with deep, dry defined basses, with trebles that retain a lot of fundamental - all in excellent playing condition.

The body as stated above is constructed out of a solid Spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. A nice two tone burst finish, this one comes to us in good cosmetic condition - at its worst, showing a small repair towards its bottom (the bass side lower bout towards the end pin), and otherwise small cosmetic nicks and typical checking. On its interior, it retains the original ladder bracing - giving it that great vintage Gibson type sound - as well as its thin, but super wide maple bridge plate. The top is nice and flat, not sinking nor showing any belly.

The mahogany neck has a bound rosewood fingerboard. The neck is nice and chunky, measuring a deep .98" at the first position, with a 1.75" nut width. Fully bound with MOP block inlay, the rosewood fingerboard is nice and clean, free of divots - the frets showing virtually no wear. The neck is nice and straight, the angle correct having had a professional neck reset. The action measures a typical 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret - the adjustable saddle with plenty of room measuring a tall 8/64" currently. Tuners and truss rod functioning as they should.

Includes upgraded Hiscox hardshell case.
