This is one of the legendary guitars built by the Hampton Brothers Wood Company with help from luthier, John Arnold. The materials are Hampton’s own choicest Adirondack top thermally cured and quilted mahogany back and sides; ebony fretboard and bridge; 1 ¾ nut and 2 5/16 saddle.
As reported by the owner: "During the build process, the soundboard had a ¼ separation where it joined the fingerboard. The Hamptons decided to remedy by installing a “bone nut” piece to join and extend fingerboard and cover the glued wood separation. It was white, I colored it black".
Guitar plays great and sounds strikingly similar to the Pre-war 00-18 Martins we have owner.
