Rare, post-war, mid 1960s model, possibly a custom order as indicated by "Custom" trussrod cover, with original hard shell case, featuring gold-plated hardware throughout. The blonde maple rim assembly has an 11" diameter with 5/16" width, with one-piece flange, 20 hole gold plated flat head tonering, single coordinating rod, with original tailpiece, and lightly faded original armrest; matching fully bound maple resonator with marquetry on the sides; light surface scratches present, and gentle pitting on plating; "B7" stamped on rim edge inside. The three piece flamed maple neck has a 22-3/4" scale length bound ebony fingerboard with colorful marquetry beneath, with bow-tie pearl inlay on the board, Mastertone block, with Crown peghead inlay beneath post-war Gibson logo on bound double-cut peghead; equipped with original Firebird tuners below stamped serial number; 1-3/16" wide nut; neck is stamped "B11" under heel; vertical separation on rosewood heel cap. A finely playing banjo, with little wear, currently setup Irish with rich growling tone.
