Well-executed, light-weight conversion to five string utilizing an original Gibson mandolin banjo rim assembly, and upgraded original five string Gibson KRB neck. The MB-1 rim assembly measures 10.5" in diameter, with shoe-brackets and hex flange, rolled brass tonering, reproduction armrest and Presto five string tailpiece; some scratches and dings present on fully bound mahogany resonator, with circular finish wear on back. The 26.5" scale maple neck, an original Gibson Kalamazoo Regular Banjo model neck, was modified/upgraded with Style 3 appointments via pearl inlay and new peghead shape, geared tuners, and a faux trussrod cover; the under portion of the heel was rebuilt, with a new cap, and spikes present on 7/9; 1-1/4" nut width. A nice playing banjo, the neck has only some light forward pull, and the frets have mild pitting; cosmetic scratches and dings present throughout.
