The holy grail of electric guitars, born in 1959. While its been imitated and recreated many times over, we are thrilled with this particular Burst reissue from 2024. 

This example comes to us excellent condition hardly used by the original owner, and sounds just as one always wanted. Two matched double cream PAF pickups achieve the tones we know and love from nearly every genre of every era. This example R9 has just the right amount of flame in its maple - and weighs in at a very comfortable 8.3lbs. Stock and original hardware and electronics are present, with the pickups reading a balanced 7.86k output in both positions. Aesthetically, it is in very clean condition with only one *very* small nick present towards the base on the back

The neck has a perfectly comfortable profile, measuring .86" thick at the first position, and .96" at the twelfth. It has a typical 1 11/16" nut width. The action is smooth and low, measuring about 4/64" at the twelfth fret. The neck is straight, the fingerboard and frets are clean, with typical stain bleed into the binding (see the reddish color from the neck profile in the clear coat in the fingerboard binding).

Comes with the original brown Gibson hardshell case, hang tags and COA. Original pickup covers and pickup switch cover are included in the case.
