An interesting model from the Bozeman era of Gibson, the J-30 is an interesting offering from the iconic brand. With its squared off shoulder, longer 25.4" scale length, X bracing, and Spruce/Mahogany construction, it is very similar to a Martin D-18 on paper all the while with its own sound. A rich depth and brightness, while this could sit in the same family as a D-18, it really has its own voice, in some ways like a stripped down Hummingbird, with a complex bass to low mid response thats great when you dig in with a flat pick or even lightly plucked finger style. This guitar comes to us in great condition, having been used very very sparingly by its previous owner. Cosmetically its very clean with only mild checking and light surface wear primarily noticeable only on its back. The neck is straight, the frets are clean, and the action is low measuring a standard 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth string, and 4/64" on the first. It has a 1 23/32" nut width. Includes the original hardshell case.
