Built in Bozeman, Montana in 1989, this is a great example of a Gibson J-100 in original hard shell case w/ pink interior, with rarely seen Sycamore back and sides; extremely well balanced jumbo, with incredible warmth. The 17" jumbo body is fully bound and trimmed, gorgeous sunburst spruce top; belly-above rosewood bridge, tortoise pickguard; long repaired top crack extending near under high e string, finish dings and happy play wear throughout, checking present. The multi-piece maple neck has a 25.5" scale length unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay w/ 1 23/32" nut width, C profile that measures .79" in depth at the first position tapering to about 1" at the eleventh; no peghead ornament; nickel plated Gibson Deluxe tuners w/ plastic keystone buttons; finish chips present on neck, and light finish crazing behind nut. An easy player with 5/64" action at the twelfth fret of the sixth string, and 4/64" on the first.
