From Herb Ellis to John Frusciante, Jim Hall to Steve Howe, it's no wonder the Gibson ES-175 has become one of the most iconic, sought after guitars for players and collectors alike. This Norlin era, 1975 ES-175D is in great shape showcasing original parts.
Laminate Maple construction, this body is beautifully finished, showing only very mild checking on its back, and some subtle case wear on its waist. Classic speed knobs, and still shining chrome hardware is present. Original Patent pickups sound great with plenty of definition and huge sound.
The neck and headstock are clean. The neck is straight yielding a nice playable low action measuring 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The original frets are nice and clean. It has a 1 11/16" nut width, and a neck profile that measures .83" at the first position tapering up to .98" at the twelfth fret. Replaced Schaller tuners present.
Comes with the original hardshell case, which has been duct taped pretty substantially.
