The German company Framus has been known to make some really high quality builds, from Arch Top acoustics to solid body Electric Basses. While Framus wasn't particularly known for their Mandolin family instruments, this A style is quite the cool looking instrument that might sound pretty nice with the right repair work. A laminate build, the laminate maple is finished like a cherry burst Les Paul, with F holes reminiscent of a Rickenbacker. The action is fairly un playable in the upper positions, needing a proper neck reset. The neck itself is very straight, but needs to be reset to the body. The slotted headstock is a nice classic touch. This could be a nice project for the right luthier - certainly a very cool and unique mandolin. Comes with a chipboard case.
