This limited edition instrument features a chambered body, composed of a nicely flamed maple top with a natural finish with a two piece alder back, with a black center stripe. Outfitted with Tim Shaw custom-designed 50s vintage-style bridge pickup compliments with a bit of overwound heat to the Shawbucker found in the neck. From round jazzy tones to bright and chimey, this is one of those instruments that keeps growing on your - both sonically, and visually. Vintage style thru body ashtray bridge with compensated steel barrel saddles, it has semi-vintage aesthetics with modern sensibilities. The neck feels like a "slightly" heftier medium C, with a satin urethane that plays nice and fast. The maple fingerboard has a standard 9.5" radius, with narrow tall vintage inspired frets, which shows virtually no wear. The neck is nice and straight with low action measuring about 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The previous owner upgraded the tuners to Fenders own locking option, adding no holes, the originals included with the sale if one is so inclined. Includes original tweed hardshell case. Weighs 6.7lbs
