Ordered specifically to Beatle spec by Andy Babiuk at Fab Gear, This Sonic Blue Fender Custom Shop '61 Strat is an excellent example of the Strats that were used by John Lennon and George Harrison. The body is made of a light weight alder and finished in a subtle checked "relic" sonic blue lacquer. The neck is made of quarter sawn birds-eye maple finished in nitro lacquer topped with a dark Indian rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges making it play like a cool breeze. The guitar is fitted with vintage pickups, and a vintage aged pick guard, pickup covers and knobs. The bridge pick up tone knob has been fitted with a stepped potentiometer and the 3 way switch was swapped for a 5 way but the guitar will include both the original electronics and can be swapped out upon request. You'll sound like a Beatle the second you pluck out a note!
