Rockabilly players rejoice for this true hot rod Telecaster!

Based on the original '69 offering, this is a limited edition Fender dating to 2003 - and this Thinline Telecaster offers twang with ease. Upgraded Bareknuckle pickups, CTS pots and Mojotone Dijon capacitor, this guitar screams and won't break your back - weighing in at a mere 6.8lbs.

The chambered body is made of mahogany, with its white finish nicely yellowed from 20+ years. Cosmetically, the guitar is in great shape with hardly a mark on it, retaining the original protective plastic on its pearloid pickguard. Factory hot rod flames showcase the mahogany, matched at the headstock. As mentioned, the pickups have been upgraded (the originals included in the case), to Bareknuckle Blackguard Flattops, the pots upgraded to CTS with treble bleed added - as well as a Mojotone Dijon tone cap - making the tone knob very useable and musical on this fine instrument. Original Fender stamped ashtray bridge (no cover).

The guitar plays great with a proper neck angle, including a simple shim in the neck pocket. The neck is straight and shows no wear, the finish on the profile and fingerboard very clean. The frets show virtually no wear, singing out , acoustically impressive with the chambered body. The neck with a U profile measures a depth of .87" (a hair chunky) tapering to .93" at the twelfth fret. The action a low 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret.

A collectable instrument meant for the right Rock-a-Billy-ist

Includes hardshell tweed case (non original) with hang tags and original electronics.
