A symphony of white and gold, featuring white holly and gold plated/engraved metalwork, the Concert Special is a revered banjo, one of the most sought-after models from Epiphone. The rim assembly measures 11" in diameter and features white holly construction, gold plated archtop tonering, engraved/24K gold plated metal parts including X flange, grooved tension hoop, armrest, and tailpiece; resonator features sides of pearl pyralin, with white holly back and elaborate design of colorful marquetry; some finish checking and surface wear is present throughout, with some chips on bottom edge, and vertical darkening of grain on back. The 27" scale neck has a delicately floral design heel carving, with colorful marquetry beneath ivoroid fingerboard binding, ivoroid fingerboard with fine engravings matching the moniker headstock, lightly worn original frets; equipped with original gold plated Grover two tabs with pearl buttons; House of Stathopoulo badge on back of peghead. Includes later hard case.
