A custom built guitar for "Dixie King" by OMI dated 1980, we're tickled to offer this high grade forty five year old showpiece hound-dog. The fully bound and trimmed body is of walnut, with single cone/spider bridge, chrome plated cover plate with solar cutouts/lightly engraved lyres, two cover plate screens, with custom manufacture label inside; tons of scratching, dings, and finish touchup present throughout (notable blemish repairs on driver's-side side). The walnut square neck meets the body at the 12th fret, with a gorgeous 24.5" scale multi-bound ebony fingerboard with spectacular pearl inlay down entire board in tree of life motif, inset binding on both sides of neck, with slotted peghead/ ebony peghead overlay, and Dobro emblem engraved into pearl as peghead inlay; equipped with later geared tuners. Extremely pleasing and rich tonality, with a boat-load of projection to-boot!
