Every big name builder began as a small builder. While there is not much information on Christopher Foss, he certainly knew how to build a nice instrument - and we are excited to feature this "0-12" model dating back to 1984.

Sonically speaking, this guitar has a great voice, with easy playability. The bass is very three dimensional with great volume and expressive trebles.

Beautifully constructed, this "0" style body is constructed with a nice solid spruce top with Koa back & sides. Fully bound with herringbone, the 14" lower bout sits comfortably, with a depth of 4" at the base and 3 3/8" at the shoulder. It has forward X tapered bracing, and is a true featherweight resonant instrument weighing in at only 3.3 lbs.

This 12 fret guitar is designed with a 24.9" scale length, constructed with a standard cedar neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck is very unique on this guitar, with a nice wide nut width measuring 2", with hardly any radius - making it an ideal crossover guitar for many classical or fingerstyle players. The profile is again a nice cross over, reminiscent of a classical, with a rounded yet slim profile. It measures about .86" in thickness at the first position, tapering to about 1" at the tenth fret. The slot headstock is also thinner maintaining a nice balance of weight with this instrument. The tuners are unmarked and quite simple, but fully functional as they should be.

The neck is nice and straight with clean and fingerboard, with very very light wear to speak of at the open position. The action measures a nice and low 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret, with the original saddle, that has hardly been taken down. No need of a neck reset here, folks.

Sealed center seam crack and reglued back bracing, this guitar is otherwise in great condition from the original owner.

Includes original hardshell case.
