A simple banjo with a less-than-simple plaque; 11" silverspun-over rim with internal bead edge, 30 brackets with mismatched hardware, equipped with Bell Brand tailpiece. The 25-1/4" scale mahogany neck has a beautiful brass frailing plate reading, "Charles E. Dobson's Parlor Banjo, Henry Benary's Sons, Sole Agents"; veneer fingerboard with simple inlay, with medium worn frets; multi-hump peghead shape w/ later geared tuners. The dowel stick was reset at some some point allowing for really comfortable action with even light forward relief.
