*AS IS A small body parlor stamped "C Bruno New York" internally, with a Lyre logo at the peghead - likely from Baystate who often built Bruno instruments around the turn of the century. Serial stamp 13910 stamped at the tip of the peg head, it is likely pre 1900. The body is built with a nice spruce top with simple marquetry. The back and sides appear to be a stained lighter wood, with deep grain (nearly like a two dimensional ash) - that is best left to some speculation. The lower bout measures 11.5" across, the waist at about 6.75", the upper bout around 8.25" - it has a depth of 3.75" at the base end, and about 3.125" at the heel end. Externally, it has a nice look rosewood pyramid bridge, with fret wire saddle - the bridge is lifting and currently does not have any tension. It is ladder braced internally. There is one center seam crack present in the top, with nicks and dings throughout. The back and sides appear crack free - with slight evidence of there being a well repaired past separation from the back to the sides at the base end. A 12 fret neck with a 23.5" scale, the neck is made with a mahogany V profile and a thin rosewood fingerboard. Tanged frets, the frets appear very low and may have been replaced in the past and ground down quite low. The neck requires a reset for proper playability, at which point one would like consider refretting as well. Stamped plate tuners with original buttons present and seemingly functional. Includes hardshell Epiphone case which fits quite well.
