The Blueridge BR-1060 Carter Stanley Memorial Guitar is based on the instrument as he played it after 1964. This guitar features the hexagonal abalone fretboard inlays and two mother-of-pearl dots on the bridge Carter added prior to 1964. Additional Carter touches include the famous White Dove headstock inlay design crafted of fine abalone and pearl which is joined on this memorial-edition guitar with his signature inlaid in gold wire. This example comes to us used and in very good condition. There is hardly a scratch on it. The mahogany neck has a comfortable profile measuring .85" at the first fret and just over 1" at the 12th. The actions is at 8/64" on the 6th string by the 12th fret and 6/64" on the 1st string with plenty of room on the saddle. The nut width is a comfy 1 11/16". With a beautiful orangish spruce and rosewood sides and back, this guitar has a beautiful full sound. It's warm and bassy for fingerstyle and punchy and direct when flat picked. Topped off with a lovely herringbone binding to bring it all together. Comes with a brown superior hard shell case.
