"In 1987 Paul Beard's first open body E Model set the bar for the stellar tone and responsiveness Beard Guitars is famous for. With its balance of power and subtlety the E Model is the ultimate workhouse resonator. Whether you're playing solo or cutting through a crowded mix, the E Model does the job."
The Legacy E model is a highly customizable instrument offered by the legendary Paul Beard's workshop. Here we have one, lightly used dating to only 2024. Configured with a non cutaway body design built out of incredibly figured Maple - it is sure that there are very few others like it. Abalone and maple binding add too the glitz appeal in this finely built instrument. It is outfitted with all black hardware, including the style 14 cone and tailpiece, down to the 510 tuners. Open and airy, this powerful instrument has incredible volume, complex tonal depth with punchy low end and shimmering high end - its a real treat to play either Spanish style or slide. Setup with a factory Fishman Nashville pickup. Cosmetically this example is like new without a mark on it.
Thanks to its round neck design, this is a versatile instrument. The neck is built with a mahogany profile, the maple bound ebony fingerboard adorning nice abalone inlay. The neck is constructed with a 25" scale length and 1 25/32" nut width - making it a nice crossover instrument. The neck profile is nice and comfortable a bit on the thinner side measuring .83'" in depth at the first position and tapering up to about 1" at the ninth fret. Currently setup in D for Spanish style playing the action is low and easy measuring a factory spec 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth string and 5/64" on the first. Virtually unplayed, the frets and fingerboard are exceptionally clean.
Includes original hardshell case.
