Well equipped Bacon "Peerless" model banjo mandolin from 1922 that seemed to be sponsored by Elton hardware! The 10" maple rim assembly has a simple rolled tonering, with all original hardware including Elton armrest, pickguard/holder; some wear present on wooden parts, with two plugged holes through rim's side in 10 o'clock position; shallow, later resonator included case fashioned with later clover-leaf flange. The 14" scale three piece maple neck has an extended rosewood fingerboard, mildly pitted original frets, with rosewood peghead overlay, geared tuners, celluloid Bacon script font above very cool vertically arranged rhinestones. A nice player, with gutsy tone, and little to no relief on board. Some hairline stress cracks present on exterior of rim near heel, with small vertical separation on heel on treble side. Case is missing handle
