This is an immaculately clean, all original Bacon FF model, most likely commissioned, and made by William Lang. The 27" scale neck is white Holly with attractive, but not overly ornate, inlay in the peg head and fingerboard and a beautifully carved heel. The 11" rim is the typical FF "hollow "construction with 2 "f" holes on the back and "curled tonering. The dowel stick reads SPECIAL GRAND CONCERT. The banjo is currently set up with "Nylgut" red strings and original friction, tuners, and long, five string style trapeze tailpiece. It appears to retain the original calf skin head. The banjo comes with a new Superior bump hardshell case.
