Extremely rare model from Bacon's Professional "FF" series, sitting in the high end of Bacon's early banjo offerings; many hallmark Vega build attributes are present here. The lightly stained multibound maple neck has a 27" scale length, with ornately engraved pearl inlaid flower pot, backstrap, heel cap, and fretboard; 1-1/4" nut width with very comfortable V profile. 11" internal resonator rim assembly, with "wave" shaped cutouts on back, trimmed internally with colorful marquetry; dowel stick marked "Special"; equipped with original Five String Oettinger tailpiece. Condition wise, there are small surface separations around the resonator cutouts, with a circular (possibly resophonic) impression also on back. The neck has mild forward relief, some finish wear, and checking.
