Conversion from an original Bacon Blue Ribbon Style A1 plectrum banjo to five string, making for a budget version of the sought after original Bacon five strings. The rim assembly measures 11.5" in diameter, is of maple, and has original shoes/hooks but later nuts; original protypical Silver Bell tonering with black painted perforated wooden interior/metal exterior with washers; matching serial numbers on stick and rim; replaced tailpiece and tension hoop. As stated, this banjo was originally a plectrum banjo, and the neck was shaved down on the driver side making for a 5 string configuration; very skinny nut width, ONE INCH, ebony board atop original pearwood; four Off-set tab grover tuners on peghead. Lots of finish checking and cosmetic wear throughout, particularly on peghead overlay.
