Developed in Rochester by Tom Lockwood (former Guild Guitar plant manager) & Dave Stutzman, the American Acoustech company existed and built some very nice instruments in the late 90's and early 2000's.
American made, with some knowledgable hands facilitating its construction, this hand signed ESVL model is a dreadnaught instrument, with a bound super wide grained spruce top, and walnut (that appears to be laminate) back & sides. A nice and big sounding dreadnaught, it sounds and plays great - coming to us in very good + condition. Unique interior, it has a forward X brace, with a thin (what appears to be) mahogany bridge plate, and solid kerfing.
The neck is designed with a 25.4" scale length and 1 23/32" nut width. The neck is made with a stained maple slim C profile, and ebony fingerboard - resulting in a nice clean straight neck. The action is low measuring 5-6/64" in height at the twelfth fret, with room at the saddle which likely has only been lowered slightly.
A great deal for an American made instrument. Includes gig bag.
