Dec. 2, 2024 - AN INVITATION TO STARSHINE
We gave the official announcement that we will be welcoming a new grandchild this March!!
Thanksgiving also gave us an opportunity to celebrate the birthday of my two beautiful sisters-in-law Ginny and Kathy. We had a wonderful cake from Leo’s bakery.
The table will be set with every kind of home treats that you can imagine.
AN INVITATION TO STARSHINE
December 2nd, 2024
Good mornings folks,
We had a very successful Thanksgiving celebration at our house here in Penn Yan with our children and grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends … about 30 people altogether. It was so much fun, we decided to continue the party this weekend. Julie felt, since we had the house all torn up for Thanksgiving, we should keep it set up for an open house during StarShine. All are welcome and we will have lots of refreshments, music and fun. People will be coming from all over to join in the activities so if you’re planning on being in the area you are welcome to stop by and engage in the activities and have some libations. Send me a message or email for directions and address.
On Saturday, December 7th, the village of Penn Yan celebrates its festival of "StarShine". This year the traditional StarShine events run from 3-6 and will be held at the Yates County Courtyard on Main St. just down the street from our house. The activities include visits with Santa, Elf School, a petting zoo and tractor rides. Following this, there will be a "parade of lights’ starting on E. Main St. and extending all the way up to N. Main St. We also encourage folks to explore downtown shops and restaurants during the celebration. Our open house will begin following the activities. Feel free to park on our driveway explore downtown and then come to an open house beginning at 6 o’clock. All are welcome…..musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments. Gavin Rice has promised to provide some holiday music.
Sincerely,
John Bernunzio

A gathering of lively conversation in our living room on Thanksgiving!
The Village of Penn Yan comes to life each winter where local and visitors gather and celebrate StarShine. This popular event started over three decades ago and has grown to become one of the most popular community Christmas celebrations in the Finger Lakes. The evening hosts a variety of music, entertainment, wagon rides, colorful lights, food, seasonal treats, historic displays, children’s games & activities, vendors, the arrival of Santa, and the popular Lights on Wheels Parade. The Chamber works with the Village of Penn Yan, Keuka College, multiple organizations, and gracious volunteers around the County to bring a memorable Christmas event great for all ages.
