SALE AWAY BANJOS, SALE AWAY!!!
October 2nd, 2023
Hello Friends,
Welcome to October, always a favorite month in my book. It’s my birthday month. It’s harvest time. It’s fall foliage with all its splendor… but it’s also a scary time. Yes in keeping with the scary side of October, we had a look in the mirror and saw how many banjos we have in stock. At last count, there were 125 banjos in our store…all sizes, all shapes and all configurations. There are mandolin banjos, ukulele banjos, tenor banjos, plectrum banjos, five string banjos of every style, guitar banjos, minstrel banjos and gourd banjos. The list goes on….it’s a veritable infestation.
The problem is, I like banjos… a lot. Why this son of an Italian immigrant ever fell in love with the banjo, is beyond me. Maybe it was made me feel more "American", but it any rate, over the past 50 years, my name has been closely associated with banjos for sale. At last count, I believe I’ve sold over 12,000 banjos! And I keep buying. I have no intention of stopping at any point soon. However, this past September has been one of the slowest months that we have seen in many years. Business has come to a slow crawl. In an effort to turn things around, I have spent the entire weekend putting every single banjo creature we have in the store on sale….for a ridiculously low price. I have to clean the house for a little while. It’s not because of any anti-banjo movement, rather it’s a matter of space. Word has it that several large collections are headed our way and we desperately need the space.
As with any sale, I have marked things down to an absolute bottom price. NO NEGOTIATIONS, NO TRADES, NO CREDITS, NO LAYAWAYS, NO FREE SHIPPING…… we are just going to sell as many banjos as we can in the month of October and that’s a scary thing. In order to help facilitate this, I have decided that I will be commuting from Penn Yan to Rochester every day this week to be in the store. Additionally, the store will be open for walk-in traffic while I am there. Yes, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday the "open" sign will be lit and and the doors will be unlocked…no appointment needed. Stop by anytime from 11 till five. I’ll be waiting. We can talk banjos and you can get a really good deal.
Sincerely,
John Bernunzio
