A largemouth bass right off the dock! He was about 22 inches if anybody’s keeping track.
And he ended up on the table.
Hummingbird moth seen at Bubba’s Bait shop
Bounty from our garden…caponata can not be far away….
In addition to her all her other responsibilities, Julie still takes care of a little garden at Museum Square on the corner of Chapel and Main Street

I know everyone enjoyed the Olympics and there was much chatter about it, but I have not watched the Olympics since 1968. Sorry, just my opinion.
ROAD TRIP!!!
August 12th, 2024
Good mornings folks,
This past week, Julie and I spent time gardening, fishing, visiting with family, cooking and cleaning out the old, squirrel infested shed in Branchport. That is, until the tumultuous rain sent us scurrying back to Penn Yan. While we were staying at the "tin cottage" we were visited by our oldest daughter, Kara Miller and her aunt, Teresa McCourt, who I had not seen in quite a few years. They spent the night and we had a grand time catching up.
We worked an active day on Saturday at the store with so many young people coming through. Of course, as usual we bought more than we sold! We had a bluegrass jam and a few people attended and a had great time. We have an old-time jam coming up on Saturday the 24th of this month and then will be looking forward to September when we have a full schedule once again.
This Tuesday Julie and I will be traveling eastward through Massachusetts and other points along the way. We are headed to pick up a large collection of instruments and projects. Anyone who has any stringed instruments that they would like to sell or consign, contact us through the store by email phone, text, Facebook, etc. We are going to be driving a large cargo van so we’ll have room to pick up lots of instruments…
With peace,
John Bernunzio
The weather changes fast and furious in the Finger Lakes. There was considerable flooding on the Branchport side of the lake in Steuben county….many communities were devastated.
We spent a day winetasting and went to several vineyards, including Dr. Konstantin Frank (now in its 5th generation) and Point of the Bluff
Penn Yan, NY
Well, we’re at it again!!
